1. Someone visiting you and staying for a while.

Have guests and are they staying in the town for longer? At first look, it seems that it can’t reflect the total amount on the invoices owed for the cleaning.

Think twice – are they using the guest’s bedroom or bathroom? Did you ask your cleaner/housekeeper/maid to prepare the room for them (change the sheets on the bed, do a quick dusting of the surfaces, or just strip up the room)?

The total owed depends on several factors:

  • if it’s one person or more
  • if they come with kids or pets
  • if the guestroom & bathroom been on ongoing cleaning before
  • if the room hasn’t been on the ongoing cleaning consider getting a higher bill than in a situation if the room was cleaned once/week or twice/month since it will require more time to get it done

 

2. If you see a mess around you – it is also one of the reasons why the services might cost more.

Take a breath and look around yourself. What do you see? Do you see a nice and tidy room left behind as in the 1st picture or do you see something like in the 2nd one?

If you’re not carrying about the daily chores like:

  • tidying up
  • making the bed
  • cleaning the dishes
  • taking out the trash

If you are not doing the things described above – you should definitely consider higher charges for the addons services.

Besides, the cleaning package that you’re getting on an ongoing basis we will add the cost of the clutter clean and organization services if needed.

3. Adding new things to your house.

Considering getting a new table? A bookshelf? Or something else?

Be ready that the cleaning cost might go up.

For how much?

Well, that depends on what you’re getting. If that is a couch that you would ask us to vaccum, that may add a bit more $ in the total amount than that lamp that you recently got 🙂 Ok ok, we just kidding – at the moment of writing this post we don’t know if you have a new lamp standing in the corner 🙂

So, anyway, what we were going to tell you – every single piece of anything new might be a reason for the higher bill for the cleaning.

Look at the first picture – cleaning of this one would cost much less than the cleaning of the second one.

 

4. Having kids? Do they love to play lego? Do they in charge to put the toys away after playtime?

If you have answered “yes” to the first and second question and “no” to the third one – that is also a reason why you might get a higher bill for the cleaning.

Sometimes you might notice a little or even major difference in the total amount owed and that can be explained in two ways:

  • your kid started to listen to you and picked up the toys, or you picked up them by yourself before our coming
  • you left everything as is and we had to deal with every single piece of the lego game 🙂

We DO NOT MIND to do it at all, of course not – we just want you to understand what might affect the total charges.

P.S We cannot guarantee that we will be able to find every piece of it and you should understand that the vacuum might catch something too while we’ll vacuuming. That is why we always recommend picking them up before the scheduled cleaning.

5. Getting a new puppy or another pet?

You have to understand from only thinking of getting a new pet that the cleaning will cost more. A new pet as a new family member – always making more mess than it’s been before 🙂

The total cost now also depends on the breed of the pet. You should understand – as more the pet shed as more time to clean it will require.

More fur around the house – more work for the cleaners – more money out of your pocket.

By the way, if you have a pet that looks as bold as that kitty in the lower picture – we think that you should not worry about anything 🙂
